So my coffee shop is 2 for 2 with showcasing really talented musicians getting their starts.

I usually stick around and ask the musicians I liked if they have anything I can post, and many don’t. They are just doing what they do, and that’s that. Thank god Luis here did.

He just emailed me this file, and I love it. He doesn’t have an album or anything to buy yet, but you can tell that’s all about to change.

Once upon a time, high in a tree in a part of the country that has yet to be named, a baby idiot was born. Immediately after being born, that baby fell out of that tree, hitting every fucking branch on the way down. Years later, the baby idiot grew to become an adult jackass. That jackass had dreams of becoming a police officer some day, but washed out of the academy due to problems with shapes, colors, and being a human. Eventually, the jackass found work enforcing parking in my neighborhood. Last night that jackass happened upon my truck, and even though this placard and all of its numbers were clearly visible, the jackass called a tow truck and surprised me with an empty parking spot, a 2-hour waste of my time, and a $220 fee to get my truck out of impound. Tonight I will find that jackass, take his pepper spray that he bought from the Army Surplus and is not allowed to be carrying on the job in the first place, and give him three thick coats to the eyes. Because they clearly don’t work, anyway.

I haven’t watched a single damned movie or television show in months.

So tonight, I’m getting some damned Chinese food, and watching this damned Vincent Price movie about a damned plague that turns everydamnedbody into vampires.

It’s based on I Am Legend, one of my favorite damned books ever, and I’m pretty damned pumped.

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to bring up...

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to bring up how obsessed I was with HBO’s Carnivale while it was on.

The days that passed between new episodes of this show used to feel like months.

If you like LOST, or shows that keep you in the dark for a long time, you’ll like this series.

BUT: It only lasted two seasons. And it ends abruptly. I’m still not over it.

Damn, this was an awesome show. Brother Justin was one of the greatest television characters of all time. OF ALL TIME.
