Q:Yes obviously we don't KNOW these things but that doesn't mean we should complicate life by entertaining every single possibility we can come up with. Occam's razor man, keep it simple.

I have kept it as simple as it gets:

We don’t know.

Anything past that cuts its own wrists on that razor.

But I can say this:

A life spent thinking only about this side of the wall doesn’t sound like much of a life for someone like me.
