I decided some time ago not to talk much about The Starlight here or really anywhere. Only three people have even seen what I’m working on, and even they have very little of what this is, or of what it means. Yet I want it said somewhere (and this is the somewhere that makes sense for now) that I’m afraid of this thing. I’m sorry; I misspoke.  I meant I’m terrified. There is a unique kind of horror that comes with finding your path in life, or with finding your purpose. Especially when it is something like this. Because this project is a nuclear warhead in a shopping cart with a squirrely front wheel. That is how this feels. But the fear is infused with a level of fulfillment and excitement that I’ve never experienced, and that I suspect few people ever do. If I get this shopping cart to the parking lot, I’ll have really done something. Something important and lasting and meaningful. And I know I’ll get it there. I just will. But that knowledge doesn’t change the fact that I’ve gone from slinging rocks to this, and that I need to mind, respect, and even embrace every wobble of this wheel. So that’s what I’m going to do.
